These terms explain how Be Here works and what you agree to when you use the platform, whether you are a donor or an organisation partner. Please read them before using Be Here.
Be Here is a platform that connects donors with verified organisations. When you make a donation through Be Here, you receive an experience in return: a session run by the organisation that lets you see your contribution in action. Be Here is a donation platform, not a ticketing or booking service. The experience is what you receive in return for your donation, not a product sold to you.
Be Here is open to anyone aged 18 or over. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are permitted to make donations in your country of residence.
When you donate to an experience on Be Here, 90% of your contribution goes directly to the organisation running the session. Be Here retains 10% as a platform fee to cover operations, payment processing, and support. The donation amount for each experience is set by the organisation. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Be Here does not store your payment card details.
Payments made through Be Here are not classified as direct charitable donations for tax purposes. Be Here is not a charity and cannot issue tax receipts. If tax-deductible giving is important to you, you may wish to donate directly to the organisation through their own channels in addition to or instead of booking an experience through Be Here.
Each experience has a cancellation window set by the organisation, typically 24, 48, or 72 hours before the session. If you cancel within that window, you are eligible for a full refund. If you cancel after the window has passed, your donation is retained by the organisation.
The cancellation policy for each experience is clearly displayed before you confirm your donation. Refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days and returned to your original payment method.
If a session is cancelled by the organisation, you will receive a full refund automatically.
Every organisation listed on Be Here is reviewed against official charity registers before being approved. Be Here reserves the right to remove any organisation that no longer meets our verification standards or that fails to meet the quality of experience we expect for donors.
Organisations applying to Be Here agree to provide accurate registration details and to run the experiences they list to a reasonable standard. Be Here takes no responsibility for the conduct or content of individual sessions. Organisations set their own cancellation policies within the ranges Be Here provides.
Be Here charges no listing fee. The 10% platform fee applies only to completed donations.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@joinbehere.com immediately. Be Here reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or that are used fraudulently.
Be Here is a platform that connects donors with organisations. We do not run the experiences ourselves. Each experience is organised and run by the organisation listed, and they are responsible for it, including the safety of everyone taking part.
When you take part in an experience, you do so at your own risk. Please follow the organisation's instructions and any safety guidance they give you on the day. The organisation running the experience is responsible for any injury, loss or damage that happens during it.
To the extent permitted by law, Be Here is not responsible for the conduct of organisations, the quality or safety of individual experiences, or for any injury, loss or damage arising from taking part. Be Here's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant experience. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of Be Here after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona.
